On-site data

Finder selections are normally stored after the # in the page URL. Browsers do not send that fragment to the hosting provider. If you choose Save this plan, the same constrained trip choices, selected route signature and route verification dates are also stored only in this browser so the plan can be regenerated from the current published data when you return. Remove saved trip clears that copy. Do not put personal information in a shared plan link. If JavaScript is unavailable, the finder can fall back to a ? query URL, which is sent as part of the normal web request. Plan The Balkans does not use any of these forms to build a personal profile. There is no account, newsletter or contact form. An optional feedback box lets you rate a page and leave an anonymous comment; entries are stored without any name, address or identifier — please do not include personal details in them.

Visit measurement

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages help travellers. Before consent, GA4 receives cookieless measurement pings used for aggregate reporting and modelling and sets no analytics cookies; those requests may include technical request data such as your IP address, user agent, screen resolution and referrer. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may set cookies and process technical data such as your IP address, browser information and the pages you view, under Google’s own privacy policy. You can change that choice at any time via Analytics choices in the footer. Declining after acceptance disables analytics, clears this site’s Google Analytics cookies where the browser permits it and reloads the page. This analytics choice never grants advertising consent. Plan The Balkans does not send names, contact details or finder selections to Google Analytics. Affiliate links are labelled before you click, and their attribution travels in the link itself. If you accept, a Travelpayouts attribution script from emrldco.com also loads; it measures affiliate clicks, can rewrite outbound links so that a click is attributed to this site, can read the page text to decide where to place its own links and tooltips, and can display Travelpayouts partner offers and error reports to its provider. It never loads if you decline or have not chosen yet, and declining after acceptance reloads the page so it stops running.

Display advertising

Google AdSense code runs on our destination-comparison articles during the initial advertising pilot, and on the four homepages while Google verifies the site. It is not loaded on any other page. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and other device or browser identifiers to deliver, limit, measure and protect ads, and may collect, share and use data under their own policies. In the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising choices must be handled by a Google-certified consent platform; the separate analytics banner does not provide advertising consent. Use Ad privacy choices in the footer to review or withdraw the advertising choice when Google’s message is available. Essential hosting

The hosting provider receives technical request data—including the IP address, browser information and requested URL—to deliver and secure the site. Plan The Balkans does not intentionally combine those logs with finder selections to create personal travel profiles.

Future changes

New analytics, advertising, account, form or other personal-data features will not be enabled without updating this notice and adding any consent or contact information that the feature legally requires.
